How the planning service works
As part of the Mendix DEP package (Digital Execution Practice) we have 6 step approach;

First Project Intake
The intake workshop helps ensure you’re focusing on the right things, by defining success criteria for your first project, resulting in a high-level project plan.

Project Onboarding
Once you have a project plan, it’s all about fast, efficient execution. We’ll host a kickoff workshop
with all stakeholders to make sure everyone is aligned on project goals, roles and responsibilities,
and rules of engagement.

Team Enablement
Mendix will help and provide some on-the-job training and coaching to ensure your team has the necessary capabilities to execute on your digital goals. Topics covered include online training, guidance within the platform and coaching of the Scrum master and product owner.

Project Retrospective
The project retrospective is essential for multiple reasons: your team learns areas of improvement for future projects, but more importantly, you recognize your first success.

Roadmap Workshop
During this workshop you will define your roadmap by identifying 5-20 applications. We will also provide a framework for
prioritizing this list of applications.

Architecture Workshop
A Mendix architect will held a workshop to help designing enterprise architectural guidelines and how to reuse patterns on projects.

Mendix offers free online training for all platform users. Our Introduction Course will quickly get your team up to speed so you can build robust and adaptable Mendix applications in days. To explore more advanced features and topics there is free access to online documentation and a very active forum and community. To further build your expertise Mendix provides Expert Webinars that are given by community Experts around platform.

In addition to online training Mendix provides (on site) Classroom Training and Certification and Consulting services as detailed in the SFIA document.

How the setup or migration service works
Once Cloud Foundry became the most adopted and mature standard, we decided to build our new platform on these key technologies. For Mendix Cloud v4, AWS provides the global infrastructure and Cloud Foundry delivers the application deployment engine on top of that. One of the main advantages of Cloud Foundry is that it’s multi-cloud. It offers a standard way to deploy applications, whether it’s on AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or to other Infrastructure-as-a-Service providers.

Your apps will now run on a Cloud Foundry engine. This ensures that you can just pick up your model, data, and configuration and migrate your app to any other Cloud Foundry based platform.
