The function of the Service Desk is to record the calls and direct the enquiry to a suitable department / individual who will respond or rectify the issue within the timeframes established within the Service Desk SLA. Additionally the Service Desk will provide detailed reporting pertaining to the types of calls, volumes, time to respond etc.
