Ongoing support

Ongoing support
Ongoing support service Yes
Types of service supported Hosting or software provided by your organisation
How the support service works As part of the Blockchain Digital ‘Service Delivery Lifecycle’ (SDLC), both development and production level Corda Business Services are delivered into managed operational support conducted by the platform founder and developer, R3 Corda.
The client’s Service Level Requirements (SLR) are discussed, and defined Service Level Agreements (SLA) agreed between the parties, at the point of contract.
Developer support can be accessed via email and web portal.
All support requests raised for development support have a Service Level Agreement (SLA) of 8 hours for the Initial Response Time.
Production support can be accessed via email, web portal and telephone.
For Production support the SLA is linked to the Priority of the incident, where:
P1 initial response time 2 hours.
P2 initial response time 4 hours.
P3 initial response time 12 hours.
P4 initial response time 24 hours.
The client / user proposes a priority P1 to P4 based on factors including whether the system is in production; a work around exists, the software status being severely impacted or completely unavailable, and the impact on numbers of end users.
Standard support hours cover 9am – 5pm UK time. Extended or global project support can be provided subject to agreement.

Service scope

Service scope
Service constraints Service constraints are dependent upon the application and functionality requirements of the end-client and associated parties (including consensus, cryptographic, privacy, interoperability, data storage). Any constraints will be discussed and identified through discussion with the client.

Support levels All support requests raised for R3 development support have a Service Level Agreement (SLA) of 8 hours for the Initial Response Time.
For R3 Production support the SLA is linked to the Priority of the incident, where:
P1 initial response time 2 hours.
P2 initial response time 4 hours.

P4 initial response time 24 hours.
The client / user proposes a priority P1 to P4 based on factors including whether the system is in production; a work around exists, the software status being severely impacted or completely unavailable, and the impact on numbers of end users.
Support is charged ‘per incident’, i.e. a set price for any support request, regardless of how long it takes to resolve. ‘Incidents’ are purchased in advance, either individually, or in an ‘incident pack’.
The pricing is determined based on support service requirements (e.g. Support Hours) and number of incidents purchased; and a Technical Account Manager (or Cloud Support Engineer) can be provided, all subject to agreement ahead of contracting.
Note - a telephone channel for R3 Production support will be implemented shortly but is not available at time of writing.
