Questions asked by suppliers

Questions asked by suppliers
Supplier question Buyer answer
1. Is there a current incumbent? No
2. Can the authority confirm if an incumbent is currently in this role, and if they will be invited to apply via DOS ? No current incumbent.
3. Could the Authority please confirm which area/department of the Home Office this requirement sits in? This requirement sits within Digital Data and Technology.
4. Could you please confirm if you would SC the candidate or would the candidate have to already be SC? The candidate would need to hold SC or be SC Clearable.
To be SC Clearable the individual must have:
• A UK passport or ‘Indefinite Leave To Remain’
• Resided in the UK for at least 5 years
• In the 5 years residence - not to have been out of the country for more than a continuous 6 month period.
The Home Office would carry out the clearance if not already held, which would take several weeks.
5. Can the candidate start while SC clearance is progressed or would this delay a start date? SC clearance would need to in place before the candidate could start.
6. There is repetition with respect to ETL for JSON based data in question 2 and question 6. Is this an error? Should question 2 be just for CSV?
Could you please clarify. then I will ensure that CSV is dealt with in question 2 and JSON is dealt with in both.
Apologies this is an error. It should state ETL for CSV as mandatory and ETL skills for JSON as desirable.
7. Would the client complete the SC clearance on behalf of the candidate? The client would submit the clearance forms following completion by the candidate.
8. Do you know if the role is inside/outside IR35? As mentioned in the day rate section the role is outside IR35.
