Who the specialist will work with Head of Agile Delivery, other Digital Specialists, Other Delivery Managers,. BIS Operations team and senior management.
What the specialist will work on •Deliver projects(s) using an appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently and to an appropriate level of quality for the stages (discovery/alpha/beta/production)

•Work with Head of Agile Delivery / Product Manager(s) / other Delivery Manager(s) to define the roadmap for any given product

•Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the programme

•Matrix-managing a multidisciplinary team

•Actively participate in the Delivery Manager community, sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge and bringing in best practice

•Provide leadership cross programme on agile and lean methodologies

1. Experience working with software delivery teams using modern technologies and practices - Can you explain more about the SW projects & Tech the candidate will be managing. The question assumes that the specialist will be working on a software project, which may not always be the case. If they are allocated to a service delivery team it will be a cross-functional delivery team working on one of BEIS's external-facing services. Services are deployed on cloud platforms and are developed using modern software technologies, including open source technologies. Teams consist of a mixture of civil servants and supplier staff.
2. Does the specified day rate include (or not) expenses and travel? The specified day rate is to include all travel/expenses for travel to daily work in London.
Any travel outside of this that the candidate is asked to do they will be able to claim inline with BEIS travel and Expense policy with receipted claims.
