Why the work is being done Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust utilise a Cisco Enterprise Wireless network to provide access for staff to Trust services, Public Access WiFi and connectivity for third parties occupying space within Trust premises.
The performance of this network is insufficient to meet requirements in its current state. This has an impact on the ability of the Trust to provide services in an optimal fashion.
The Trust wishes to engage a supplier to audit and investigate the root causes of these issues then produce a strategy to improve the service as a whole and deliver a true enterprise quality solution.

Early market engagement No early market engagement
Any work that’s already been done No work has already been done
Existing team The supplier will primarily be working with Senior IT Management, IT Design Team and IT Network Team. Questions asked by suppliers

Questions asked by suppliers
Supplier question Buyer answer
1. The access code appears to be inactive could you please confirm if it is correct? The access code on the Delta site is now active, apologies for the confusion
2. The reference number provided does not apper to be open for the documents on the delta portal. Can you please let us know when it will be . The Delta site is now properly open and live, please try to access again and let me know if there's a problem
3. It says answers will be available on the 19th of June is this correct ? The deadline for responses is the 20th? The dates on the portal are automatically created by the web site. For clarity the 13th June is your supplier deadline for asking questions, 19th June is my latest deadline to respond to questions and 20th June is the final response date.
We are committed to answering questions as soon as we can so intend to have published all responses well before the 19th June.
4. Can you expand on what you are looking for us to detail in the response to: Demonstrate the ability to provide client based traffic generation of typical data usage within a wireless network - is there a typical data usage you are looking to meet? The question needs to be read considering the service that the Trust is out to market for. We are looking for an organisation to audit our wireless network and provide recommendations to improve it.
What we are looking for bidders to demonstrate here is that they are capable of auditing and reporting on client based traffic generation.
