- Dstl is looking for a small team of ServiceNow certified Developers to build a wide variety of applications, processes and workflows on our on-premise ServiceNow deployment.

About the work
- Why the work is being done

Dstl has made a strategic decision to implement on premise ServiceNow environments to develop business applications and workflows.
This work is to take the backlog of applications, processes and workflows and develop them on the ServiceNow application. - Problem to be solved
- The supplier shall be tasked with creating digital forms, applications and workflows within our on premise ServiceNow development environment and performing Quality Assurance (QA) testing in our pre-production environments. The supplier shall also deploy and release the applications in line with Dstl’s governance framework

- The platform will be used for a wide variety of users and tasks across the business.

- Dstl currently has a dedicated project manager for this task, who is acting as a product manager. Dstl also has a 3rd party supplier who is responsible for the platform and the administration of that platform.

For Lower Classification work - the work can be done remotely using Dstl's IT. - Working arrangements

For low classification work, the development will be remote utilising Dstl's collaboration software suite.
As the capability matures higher classification work may be required, and this will have to be done on one of Dstl's core sites.
For pricing purposes assume 1 day per week at Dstl Porton Down or Dstl Portsdown West. - Security clearance

In order to have access to Dstl's systems, you will need to be (or be willing to undergo) Security Check (SC) clearance and be a sole British National.
As the capability matures some requirements may require up to Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance.

- 2. Hi, Please confirm our understanding that at this stage in the process we are only required to answer the two questions (with 100 word answers), about (1) All the team members must be British nationals and willing to obtain SC security clearance, and (2) Developers must be ServiceNow Certified Application Developers. Following that we understand that there will be a downselect, and bidders will be invited to a more details evaluation process.

- 3. Does DSTL have a clear view of which applications you are looking for the successful supplier on this contract to build?
- Intially Dstl will look to develop existing business forms and workflows on the ServiceNow platform. The backlog also includes inventory management applications, virtual agent exploitation, and other more complex business processes.
- 4. Given that this work does not currently have funding approved, are you able to provide a timeline for contract award/onboarding of the service?
- Dstl aims to award the contract at the end of August and begin the onboarding in Septmber 2022.
- 5. Your response to Clarification Question 1 provides contact details for a member of your team (Mat). For clarity, are we expected to provide any information beyond the 100 word responses to Essential Skills and Experience 1 & 2? If so, please can you explain what we should provide?
- Currently Dstl only want you to confirm (Yes / No) that you have the SQEP ServiceNow resource as well as British nationals who hold, or are willing to undergo the Security Clearance process.
