Questions asked by suppliers

1. Is there a current incumbent?
No
2. Whats the timescale for this process?
This requirement is open for 2 weeks with the intention of the winning supplier to start on the 03 August 2020
3. Would you be able to put the specialist through BPSS if required?
No we won't.
4. This role is on Digital Marketplace twice, P21-0048 and P21-00047.
Does that mean there are two positions available, or was it published twice by accident. We have two suitable consultants, SC cleared, Automation experts with CRM – Do we put one consultant profile in for P21-0048 and the other consultant for P21-0047? Will applicants for P21-0048 be automatically considered for P21-0047 and vice versa?
There is two requirement for the role.
Yes you can put one candidate profile forward for each requirement.
No we will not consider applications from other procurement requirements.
5. We have had a numerous amount of questions regarding security clearance.
The requirement says to work onsite, you must have SC, however the Clearance details says it is just BPSS...
Please can you confirm if you need to be SC Cleared?
See advice from https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels:
There are 5 levels of national security vetting;
• Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
• Security Check (SC)
• Enhanced Security Check (eSC)
• Developed Vetting (DV) including Developed Vetting (DV) Renewal and Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV).
Each type of vetting also requires successful completion of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). So by having any of the above levels, BPSS would have been completed as part of that.
6. Is there any flexibility with the start date?
There’s potentially scope for a delay in the start date for the right candidate
7. Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, what are the working arrangements for potential winners? Is there a work from home alternative? What are your current teams functioning at the moment?
The winning supplier will be able to work remotely (work from home) until we are able to access our buildings then there will be times that office working is required. All of our teams are currently working from home.
8. We assume that the sift is a 2 stage process, with a short-list and those suppliers short-listed then providing more info (as you haven't asked any questions that allow suppliers to provide the non-technical info you wish to assess). Do you have a timeline for the 2nd stage please.
As per the guidelines of the framework, yes this is a two stage, responses for this requirement closes on Thursday 23 July, we will contact suppliers during the week of the 27th July to notify the next stage and dates.
