Questions asked by suppliers

Questions asked by suppliers
Supplier question Buyer answer
1. Is the rate inclusive of agency fees and VAT? The rate advertised is the maximum rate chargeable. Please note all submissions will be scored technically and commercially.
All rates are excluding VAT.
2. Will R&R be able to sponsor the successful candidate through the SC process? The role does not require SC clearance. The successful candidate must undergo parliamentary clearance. There are no exceptions to this notwithstanding a candidate that already holds a valid, current parliamentary pass.
3. Does the working arrangement mean that the specialist will be able to work remotely when necessary on an ad hoc basis? Or can an arrangement be made up front that allows for the specialist to have regular remote working days? Working remotely is possible, however the specialist is expected to be onsite as required and this could be 5 days each week.
4. Is there a current incumbent? There is no incumbent; this is a new role required to supplement an existing team.
5. Please can you confirm what prerequisites are required for UK Parliament clearance, if any? We are unable to confirm pre-requisites, however, Parliamentary clearance is a lesser clearance to SC, and is not dissimilar to BPSS and CTC.
6. How can we send the CV? Successful candidates that are shortlisted will be able to submit a CV prior to interview, however it is expected that the CV contents will form part of the technical competence submission at this stage.
7. Could you clarify further on the remote working aspect? Is this at management discretion or is the specialist free to manage their diary and on site activities/presence accordingly? The specialist is free to manage their dairy as they see fit, provided any deliverables are not impacted. It is expected that the specialist will be on site as appropriate.
8. Can the authority please confirm the IR 35 status of this role. As a DOS4 supplier, you have already stated that you work outside of IR35 under the framework agreement. We currently believe that this role would fall outside of IR35 but an ESI assessment has yet to be performed. Should the outcome of such an assessment not be in line with supplier expectations then there is no obligation on the part of the supplier to accept the role if it is offered to them.
