How the planning service works
Our service provides an end-to-end migration of data to the cloud or between cloud services. Discovery activities will help quantify the migration and address key issues such as co-existence, cross-business consumption and licensing. Planning activities will work closely with the customer to define a migration schedule and unit-of-migration that minimises any potential business impact. We can work easily as part of a wider infrastructure migration programme, tying our activities into a wider migration schedule with other suppliers and processes. We will undertake or assist with infrastructure impact assessment and configuration of the target environment. Ensuring a performant target solution aligned with government security guidance. Migration approaches will be tailored to meet the customer needs for speed or transparency of migration. We will work closely with the customer to help create engaging, plain English, clear and concise business communications, and engagement material.

How the setup or migration service works
Our service provides customers with the benefit of in-depth experience on data migration at an enterprise scale. Including migrations from multiple source systems, for multiple semi-autonomous business units and working with the customer's multi-supplier / multi-source / disaggregated supply chain. We support migration and configuration of co-existence between public cloud solutions (Google and Microsoft) and from vendor-specific proprietary solutions. Our teams support a variety of tooling and methodologies and will select the most appropriate solutions and approaches to meet the customer/user need.

How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Through Technology's standard quality assurance processes will be applied throughout. We will undertake commissioning trial activities to test the performance and operation of migration tooling and approaches to ensure accurate planning and scheduling of migration activity and minimise any associated business impact.

This service is for data migration activities only, in which we may provide early-life and post-migration support if required by the customer.
We offer full support for cloud platforms and services through our TT Cloud Service Support offering on G-Cloud Lot 3.

Not inclusive of toolset provision as we wish to retain the option to work with customer selected migration toolsets if required or select the best option to meet the customer requirement. Migration tooling can be included if requested at the proposal stage.
