Getting started Customer on-boarding involves creating an account on the BT Managed Email Security service for the exclusive use by the customer. BT will work with each customer, to complete the “Customer Data Capture Form” which documents which of the core services are required, and the corporate, administrative, and technical elements to be configured to interface to your systems and user base. BT will also ensure that knowledge transfer and training requirements are documented. The focus is on ensuring that the BT Email Security service achieves rapid time-to-value for customers.

Approach to resilience Data is housed in a pair of resilient data centres with multiple filtered electrical feeds and backup generators. Each data centre houses redundant raided servers that are mirrored to the partner data centre. The service is monitored 24*7 by our operations centre and security operations centre.
Outage reporting BT will issue an email notification as soon as the outage is identified. Updates will be sent periodically until service is restored. Once restored an email notification will be sent, followed by a root cause analysis as appropriate.
