Onboarding and offboarding
Whilst comprehensive documentation and training materials are plenty and available free of charge through the internet, we generally recommend buyers purchase a small number of consulting and training days to get a fast ROI on the software. This would typically include the development of an initial report or dashboard requirement, designed to be a high-quality showcase of the capabilities of the service and serve as a source for reverse engineering and learning for future projects, as well as classroom-based training complete with manuals and electronic content.
Following this initial engagement, many of our customers become self sufficient and only call upon our services for occasional support or for help kicking off a new project. We are also able to offer more comprehensive services to build a whole suite of reports, help develop internal capabilities through continuous improvement training and build of a Centre of Excellence.

Availability and resilience
|Guaranteed availability||This question is not relevant to the Alteryx hybrid-cloud server as we do not host the customer's data or make a service available to the customer.|
|Approach to resilience||Alteryx hybrid cloud server is designed around several processes that manage availability, and tasks running on the server. The controller centrally manages the timing and orchestration of activities queuing jobs when demand is high. It can also be configured in a high availability configuration across multiple servers.|
|Outage reporting||Alteryx server has an API for extracting the server status.|
Identity and authentication
|User authentication needed||Yes|
|Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels||Access restriction depend on client requirements, but can include a range of authentication and control mechanisms as needed. Alteryx allows you to manage permissions on a per user and group basis. Both levels of control allow you to define 4 broad roles that define the activities a user might need based on their level of access. These are described as Curators ( admin level access), Artisans (Can publish, run, and share workflow), Viewers (who can run workflows) and users who explicitly have no access. These roles are applied to specific Areas of Alteryx.|
