Operating System Virtual Machines are currently limited to Windows, RHEL and CentOS.
Underlying virtualisation technology is VMWare.
Standard connectivity to the platform must be from a government network. However, access to the platform across the Internet can be provided at an additional cost.
Application(s) deployed to the platform requires separate accreditation.
Buyers staff accessing the platform must hold current SC level clearance.

Support levels
Q-Solution offer 2 levels of support. Tier One is basic service desk support. Included within the price is the ability for the buyer to raise calls with our service desk for support Tier Two is on-site support and is charged separately. This support could be required by the buyer to assist them in installing and configuring any specific tooling to enable the required monitoring and reporting. This charge out at £550 per person/day excluding VAT and travel outside of the M25. Every buyer is allocated a technical account manager to ensure that the appropriate level of support is provided.

Bronze support is provided as standard. Silver and Gold support can be purchased separately that includes services such as out of hours support and weekend calls. Further details can be found in our G-Cloud pricing document

End-of-contract data extraction
Q-Solution has a detailed customer archiving and disposal process when a customer concludes their use of the platform. As each customers requirements for the data may differ, the exact details are not provided here. Instead the customer is provided with this documented processes at contract commencement which explains the different options they have.
This process defines the data to be extracted, the mechanism(s) for extraction, the secure transport mechanism to the customer and any appropriate data retention policies to be adhered to.
End-of-contract process
The OFFICIAL Environment as a Service is a consumed service throughout the life of the contract. At the conclusion of the contact, Q-Solution will issue a change request detailing any changes such as firewall rules and services that should be removed. There is not expected to be an additional costs associated with this subject to the support levels defined earlier.
Customer data can be archived and/or deleted as per customer request.

Our OFFICIAL Platform as a Service (PaaS) is a multi-tenanted service. Resources are not consumed dynamically throughout a customers contract but, instead, consumed and fixed at the point of service commencement. Our solution is fully scalable and, coupled with a monitored capacity plan, we ensure that the service has the necessary resource capacity to cater for additional customers as they are on boarded onto the service
