Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
SLA's are defined by the various services that AWS offer.

Each service has a defined SLA that is based on the implementation and architecture as described by the Well Architected Framework and the relevant SLA document.

https://aws.amazon.com/legal/service-level-agreements/
Approach to resilience
AWS infrastructure is designed to be resilient. The resiliency pillar of the AWS Well Architected Framework prescribes the Architetual principals to guide the implementation of resilient architectures.
