Configuration and change management approach
All system components undergo security analysis during their development phase, as well as undergoing an extensive code review. Code is scanned by third party tools on an ongoing basis. All events are logged and investigated.

There is another security review as part of regression testing prior to release.

All code is scanned by multiple third party vulnerability scanners such as AWS Inspector. Patches are deployed as a part of the change management cycle on a case-by-case basis depending on the nature and the severity of the issue.

Critical patches can be released within a matter of hours if required. Most patches are released as part of a daily hotfix or a fortnightly standard release.

In addition to the third party tools, Roadmunk developers monitor CVE and other security feeds.

Roadmunk conducts annual third party penetration testing to identify major compromises and conducts internal testing.

Identifying a potential compromise is done by way of internal monitoring and logging including details such as: failed password checks, strange IP address behaviour, email address changes, username changes, and customer engagement checks.

Upon identifying a security issue Roadmunk takes immediate action notifying the appropriate parties targeting a response time of less than 1 hour. This is handle one a case-by-case basis.
