Security Compromisation detection is automated with AWS provided tools. In an event of compromisation, the support team will be alerted via email or SMS, which will trigger the incident response team. Based on the severity of the compromisation, the team will advise the affected clients if a downtime is necessary. The incident will then be managed by the team by employing the fixes needed.
There will be a post analysis of the compromisation, and permanent enhancements will be developed into the platform to avoid future disruptions. During this process the audit logs will be reviewed to ensure the support team has followed the protocol, and necessary actions will be taken in a failure.
Operational security
- Configuration and change management standard
- Supplier-defined controls
- Configuration and change management approach
- Considering the general customer feature requests and issues reported, we make enhancements to the Praedictio platform. These changes would go through a rigorous application lifecycle management. The enhancements developed by the development team will be deployed to a quality assurance environment which will be thoroughly tested by QA team, and then will be released to the production environment with release notes upon a prior downtime notification. The entire deployment is automated via continued integration technologies.
- Vulnerability management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Vulnerability management approach
-
There is a vulnerability test suite that has been developed, based on the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) - https://www.owasp.org
Before every release, this entire vulnerability test suite will be executed to identify potential vulnerabilities. - Protective monitoring type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Protective monitoring approach
- The platform uses native cloud tools designed to identify compromises (AWS Guard Duty). These tools are configured to notify any compromise to the platform via email and SMS. Upon such alert, an incident response team will be quickly deployed to manage the situation. Depending on the gravity of the compromise, clients will be notified with the impact and will be advised any downtime needed.
- Incident management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Incident management approach
-
There are standard incidents defined along with a run book for the support staff. In every defined incident, there is a resolution process that should be followed by the support team according to the run book.
Users will report incidents via email. Support staff shall then record the incident as a ticket and follow it until the resolution. Users may request incident reports, which will be generated from the ticket management system used.
