Service constraints Internet access is required to run the desktop application. All major browsers and mobile platforms are fully supported. Ultimo GO mobile requires a live Wifi or 3g/4g/5g to run. Ultimo GO+ can operate offline and will sync when an internet connection is re-established.

Getting started Ultimo can provide both onsite and online training. The user documentation is available at all times and is partially embedded into the Utlimo systems help function and all documentation can be found in the Ultimo customer portal. Training is provided based on the users expected use of the system and training sessions vary from the basics or navigating the system through to setting up preventative maintenance schedules and anything in between. Ultimo also provides specialized training for system administrators/ application manager on how to customize/maintain the Ultimo product. This includes the configuration of the user interface, authorization management and even database mangement training.

End-of-contract data extraction All selection lists can easily be downloaded into Excel or PDF formats, additonally, users can create their own reports. The Ultimo application also has the capability to export data into CSV and XML formats. It is also possible to receive the complete database at the end of the contract, whic will allow for all data to be exported to whatever format required.
End-of-contract process In an on premise solution, the buyer can continue using the system without any support from Ultimo. In a SaaS/Cloud contract the environment is terminated and the data is provided to the customer.

Differences between the mobile and desktop service The mobile application is designed for processes and creating activities immediately anywhere and consulting information. Scheduling work and setting up master data for example are not available on the mobile device and are best suited for a desktop application.

What users can and can't do using the API The Ultimo application makes use of an Open API that can be set up and configured through a graphic user interface as part of the proprietary Ultimo Customization Tool, which is embedded into the web application. Changes can be made by the user or by the Ultimo Consultants. Knowledge of what data is needed and its time frequency is important for success and system performance.

Description of customisation Almost anything in the Ultimo application is configurable. From the look/layout of the screens to the functionality behind buttons and other logic in the system. The workorder process is easily changed to match the customers specific process. The database structure can also be altered to suit whatever information the user needs to store. Customization is done through the proprietary Utlimo custimization tool, which is embedded into the Ultimo application. It can be protected through authentication and an additional password to prevent accidental or unauthorized users to change any settings. The customization tool also features a recording function (called the Package Manager) which allows users to record their desired configuration changes in a test/sandbox environment. These recordings can be validated, downloaded and uploaded into the production/live environment to roll out the changes without risk of forgetting any crucial steps. If for whatever reason the changes do not have the desired effect, a package (recording) can be reverted to the previous situation, which prevents any long term problems. Additionally every user can customize their personal settings, including their personal dashboard, selection lists for each screen and personal themes and language/date settings.
