Planning service
How the planning service works
BAE Systems' structured approach to requirements management planning starts with effective workshop and focus interview sessions to generate buy-in, ownership and draw out key business requirements for cloud-based solutions. We use a variety of techniques including document and protocol analysis to support you through the production of draft requirements sets, their analysis, validation, documentation and management (including prioritisation & sign-off). We also have experience selecting and using a range of requirements management tools. Core to our approach is the use of a variety of prototyping, mock-up, and modelling techniques - e.g. user journeys and UML - to engage stakeholders and define requirements. In relation to non-functional requirements, of key importance when choosing cloud-based solutions, we will specify criteria to judge the operation of a system/service, defining the capability properties and constraints that the system or functional requirements must comply with. For cloud services this requires an appreciation of what flexibility is actually available from the cloud provider. We can also help you define the service and support model for cloud-based services, including user support requirements. We have experience of managing cloud service providers as part of our SIAM engagements and can use this knowledge in order to define realistic requirements.
