How the training service works We undertake in-depth training in Writing for the web. After your editors have attended they will be equipped to write compelling, clear and searchable content.

We have developed three standard courses, lasting 1, 2 or 3 days, depending on the depth you want to go into. Each course can be run for between 2 and 10 delegates, and operates at your premises.

The typical two day course covers the following topics;
* how to write task-focused content that meets user needs
* researching and planning techniques for user-centred content, including personas
* what it takes to write clear, universally readable copy
* how to structure your web content for maximum effect
* models for creating an effective voice and tone for your organisation
* the role that style guides play and how to choose one
* why microcopy and metadata are so important and how to write them well
* how to shape a suitable editing process
* techniques for checking your work
* the role of a copy deck in serving your project
* how to meet accessibility and SEO standards with your content
