Planning service
How the planning service works
Catalyst's team of certified solutions architects will investigate and document business requirements in a discovery phase. They will then lead discussion with the client on required future state for applications and make recommendations of potential cloud architecture to achieve this.

With agreement of preferred architecture, Catalyst will provide technical design and specification services along with a detailed plan for implementation. This might include: hardware specification; software version details; 3rd party or custom features; test design and planning; time-lines (including data migration and cut-over schedules) and systems security specification.

System resilience and disaster recovery is considered fundamental in all Catalyst cloud hosting and cloud software planning. This ensures a final outcome of high availability with no single point of failure.

Setup and migration

Setup or migration service available
How the setup or migration service works
Catalyst take a phased approach to delivery of migration services. A discovery phase supports a shared understanding with the client of existing systems and migration requirements. This is followed by a planning and design phase, leading into implementation of that migration plan. Included in the plan are migration steps and time-lines, roles and responsibilities, success measures, risk mitigation strategies including data security considerations.

Quality assurance and performance testing

Quality assurance and performance testing service
How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Catalyst provide performance testing for cloud hosted systems on request. We do this by profiling performance issues or areas of interest (e.g. on a particular page or service). We also run load testing on target systems, measuring against predetermined performance expectations, using the JMeter tool-set and system metrics. Catalyst provide result reporting with recommendations and plans for remedial action as required.
