- End-of-contract data extraction
- Not relevant to Sophos Intercept as user data is not processed. Log data can be extracted from Sophos Intercept at any time using reports or SIEM event data. Sophos Intercept holds log data for 90 days before automatically expiring it so 90 days after contract expires, there's no more data.
- End-of-contract process
- Deliberate end of contract. A subscription service which can only be legally used when in contract. If customer no longer requires use, then they must uninstall software from all protected computers. At this point, no further protection is offered, no new data will be entered. Log data expires 90 days after creation so any historic logs will fade, leaving an empty portal containing entries of historic users, computers and policies, which can be deleted if desired, alternatively after extended absence, entire portal instance will be deleted 2) Accidental end of contract. In event of renewal being missed but service still being desired, customer should enter immediate discussion with Sophos to discuss legal options around continued use of service. Sophos will not immediately close the portal as this would prevent legitimate mistakes from being corrected. Protection will continue to run for a short grace period, to enable accidental lapse in contract to be rectified. After this grace period, new protection definitions and engine upgrades/bugfixes etc. will not be available to customer, so effectiveness of the product will start to fall. Renewal of contract will immediately re-instate updates automatically so no remediation work will be required to regain full working status
