|How the planning service works||
We appreciate every project is different in its own right, so we supply subject matter experts to conduct the planning phase who will roadmap the project and its objectives, including; Programme Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Service Designers, Solution/Technical Architects, Security Architects and User Experience specialists. We would also implement, where necessary, AS-IS and TO-BE business processes to define a target operating model which is in-line with the agreed objectives.
SH Managed Solutions provide extensive strategic planning and advisory services, which are in sync with the Technology Code of Practice and the Digital Service Standard. Our approach is to work collaboratively with you from the outset, helping to drive potential cost savings, whilst also ensuring the solution retains its flexibility, usability, accessibility, whole-life longevity and satisfies potential security measures.
We are platform and technology agnostic; enabling us to offer impartial advice on supplier and vendor selection during the planning stage and explore the options available for cloud deployment solutions; such as SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and whether to use private/public/hybrid cloud solutions.

SH Managed Solutions can offer both onsite and remote training throughout the engagement, designed specifically to upskill your internal teams, enabling them to maintain and provide their own continuous improvements to the services we have delivered.
Training services are typically agreed as part of the initial planning phase, to ensure we’re clear on the level of training you require throughout the engagement and the audience in which we would be upskilling (technical staff, product teams, stakeholders, internal users etc). This could be delivered in a number of ways, including one-to-one coaching, pair programming, show and tells, workshop sessions, webinars or user guides to name a few methods.
During the planning phase, we would also formulate an exit plan to ensure this is tied into the deliverables schedule. We will always endeavour to provide as much knowledge transfer and information sharing as practically possible, as it will ultimately reduce your reliance on external suppliers in future.

SH Managed Solutions offer expert consultation and implementation of cloud migration services, providing the hands-on technical capabilities to deploy services to a cloud platform. An important starting point is to collaboratively develop a detailed migration strategy with your in-house team. We aim to deliver a seamless transition, ensuring continuity of service, integrity of data, staff skills capability, implementing security measures, cross compatibility and preventing any cause of data loss in the process.
Cyber Security and Information Security is an important part of any organisational change, so we can supply Subject Matter Experts in areas including Security Strategy, Cyber Security Architecture, Business Continuity, ISO27001 compliance and Threat Modelling.
We develop a detailed transformation roadmap with clear explanation of the current system and how to implement the new solution. Activities we explore include stakeholder engagement, definition of the business model, methodology implementation, technical systems analysis, process and data modelling and risk management. Throughout the migration we consider how the new solution will be adopted and embedded into the organisation, giving structure and guidance towards the future direction of any subsequent projects or programmes of work. We also assist in defining and embedding new ways of working, and the changes in organisational roles.

SH Managed Solutions offer a dedicated Service Delivery Manager as a single point of contact throughout the entire duration of the call-off contract. Our Service Delivery Managers are contactable via Mobile and Email, between 9:00 - 18:00, Monday to Friday. This service is not chargeable and is included in the pricing for the project. (Out of hours support is optional and subject to agreement).
Onsite technical support can be provided by the assigned resources during agreed business hours (unless stated in the Service Definition). This support is not chargeable, provided it is supplied by the assigned resources during agreed business hours, and is relevant to the work being conducted within the call-off contract.
