The work around Standard Extracts (SE) of National Pupil Database data is complex and challenging. At this stage of the project we are looking to continually increase confidence levels around SE before we make them available for researchers to request.
The research and testing to date has given us a high level of confidence that SE can be successful. Testing amongst users strongly suggests the concept of SE and our proposed approach (and content) are sound.
The sucessful applicant will collaborate with an existing team to develop, iterate and maintain Standard Extracts (SE) of NPD data.

Questions asked by suppliers
- 1. Is there an incumbant supplier.
- Yes.
- 2. Is there a current incumbent?
- Yes
-
3. Is the predominant focus of the role focused on the maintenance, governance and storage of the data?
Or is it focused on data manipulation and analysis in order to derive insights? -
The focus is to create, test and produce a suite of pre-canned data 'standard extracts' that will enable users to conduct meaningful research and analysis.
We currently create bespoke data extracts to meet users requests for NPD data. This is both an expensive and time consuming process. Standard extracts should enable us to provide users with quicker access to NPD data.
