Initially based in Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, East Croydon with occasional travel to 2 Marsham Street, London. Travel may be required to other sites, with travel expenses claimable, subject to Home Office T&S policy, for travel outside M25.

  • Proven track record of stakeholder engagement, analysis, tracking and relationship management in UK Government and the Law enforcement Community.
  • Previous experience working with Policing and UK Government and/or other Law Enforcement Agencies or Home Office and a working knowledge of their business areas and priorities
  • Proven experience of facilitating meetings and workshops with people from all levels of seniority
  • Good experience of cultural, strategic and tactical business issues, and aligning digital and technology strategies with business goals when engaging with staff, stakeholders and customers
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Experience of developing and delivering staff engagement plans in a technology environment
  • Experience of managing a variety of stakeholder engagement tools, including the use of online channels and good use of MS excel and other MS applications.
Nice-to-have skills and experience
  • An understanding of the government's digital and technology transformation agenda, and why the government is changing the way it does digital and technology projects
  • Previous experience with stakeholder mapping and analysis to inform communications and relationship management.

1. Can the authority confirm if there is a current incumbent within this position? No, the positions are vacant?
2. You mention 3 days a week on-site. Does that mean the other 3 days can be based from home? It should be 5 days on site with occasional travel to London and some flexible working.
3. NLEDP 017a & NLEDP 017b appear to be identical roles but clearly distinct. Please confirm that you are recruiting for two people. Yes two people, working together as a team, one will conduct stakeholder analysis and manage smaller stakeholders the other will be a relationship manager for larger stakeholders in the same group.
4. If this is the case; does it matter which role to apply for? Do we have to do two identical applications (one for 17a and one for 17b)? Will all Q&A for each role be mirrored on the other role listing? You can apply for either role.
5. What is the expected timescale regarding feedback, interviews and awarding the positions? We should select quite quickly and decide within 2 weeks of interviews being held. There is a security clearance requirement for SC so this will extend the start date.
6. What will be the split between Croydon and Marsham Street? 90% Croydon, but travel to 2MS and sometimes can work from 2MS if preferred. We offer flexible working.
7. Will there be scope to have the primary location at Marsham Street as the contract continues? The programme is based in Croydon but we offer flexible working for 1 - 2 days a week if required. Croydon is preferred, but 2Ms or WFH is permissible.
8. Contract length states 2 years. If successful will the contract be for 2 years or will it be in 3 month/6 month parcels? The contract will be 2 years in duration for a fixed term appointment. However, there will be 6 monthly SoW for the duration of the 2 year contract.
9. Can the authority please confirm the IR35 status of this role At present this is deemed to be outside of IR35.
However this will be reviewed again at Contract Award.
