Questions asked by suppliers

Questions asked by suppliers
Supplier question Buyer answer
1. Is there an incumbent in the role and will they be applying through DOS?

Please can we arrange a Q&A with the opportunity for all suppliers to attend to learn more about the role?
The existing post is currently gapped however some elements are currently being undertaken by another job holder. This advert is an open competition through the framework and applicants are not disclosed to the Authority until the advert has closed.

The Authority is not able to facilitate a Q&A teleconference, please submit all questions via the advert and the Authority shall address them and publish the appropriate response.
2. Hi, is this role deemed in or out of ir35? The Intermediaries Legislation does not apply to this engagement, concluded by using the ‘check employment status for tax’ online tool https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/check-employment-status-for-tax/cluster/.
3. This seems to be a exact copy of the previously released role, please can you provide an update of why you did not find a suitable candidate. The role is being re-advertised as an offer of contract was issued but the individual declined.
4. Will there be sponsorship to acquire DV clearance to suitably qualified resource? If not, please clarify why? As stated in the advert, applicants are required to have MOD DV clearance on day 1 of the appointment. No assistance will be provided to obtain this due to time constraints.

This role is to fill an urgent requirement. DV clearance requires 6-8 months to acquire, this would be outside of the timescales required for this role to start.
5. Is the rate inclusive of VAT? No, the advertised rate is exclusive of VAT.
6. We have an extremely qualified candidate that holds active DV clearance and extensive experience within the defence sector. They are also willing to provide responses to the lengthy application process and are immediately available.

However the rate is a slight issue, would you consider the application at a higher rate than advertised e.g between £550 – £575?
The Maximum Day Rate for the Deployed Systems Project Manager is as advertised. £500 per 8 hour day worked, inclusive of T&S.
