DfT has recently started a Beta-phase for a Blue Badge digital service.DfT are required to recruit users for the duration of Beta which ends on 31January2019.The recruitment agency is expected to-provide recruitment of users for research;pay incentives to users taking part in research;organisation of user participation and attendance.

About the research

Description of your participants
Participants should hold a Blue Badge or have applied for a Blue Badge on someone’s behalf. All ages, genders and digital skills welcome.
Assisted digital and accessibility requirements
All types of Digital Skills welcome.
Research plan
In-person, testing the usability of prototypes of the new Blue Badge service. All equipment provided, nothing to bring or prepare.
Research location
Veltech, Basil Chambers, 65 High Street, Manchester M4 1FS. Possible changes to address but unlikely and sufficient notice will be provided. Testing will take place in a Lab environment

4 to 6 for each of the 15 rounds.

Skills and experience

Buyers will use the essential and nice-to-have skills and experience to help them evaluate suppliers’ technical competence.

Essential skills and experience
  • being able to meet the expected start date of the contract;
  • experience recruiting participants for niche projects;
  • experience recruiting participants with a mixture of digital literacy and confidence;
  • have the ability and capacity to work to short deadlines;
  • evidenced ability to recruit in the above location.
Nice-to-have skills and experience
Provide appropriate 'working day' hour contact/support.

  • Approach to recruiting participants for this project (20%);
  • How you have identified risks and dependencies and offered approaches to manage them (20%);
  • Approach to ensuring that participants are recruited in time for research dates and location (20%);
  • Contingency planning for unexpected issues i.e. cancellations, no-shows etc (10%);
  • Breakdown of recruitment costs and incentives (30%)
