About the work

Why the work is being done
This is a Proof of Concept to establish an electronic means to conduct a pilot/research project based on LoRa WAN technology to monitor water gullies across Northern Ireland for the Department for Infrastructure
Problem to be solved
To provide a means of analysing the water levels on an electronic basis thereby providing clear management information for DfI Roads Service in order to provide an efficient method of drainage
Who the users are and what they need to do
The 'User' is DfI Roads Service who will need to analyse the data provided by the winning supplier on the Water Gullies through a bespoke dashboard for the Department.

• Must provide ‘real-time’ monitoring
• Must provide a bespoke dashboard for the Department
• Must have locally based engineers based in Northern Ireland
• Must be able to provide evidence of similar projects in Northern Ireland and across the UK
• Must be able to deliver before end March 2018
• LoRa Network must cover Belfast and Ballymena areas initially

  • Suppliers should provide a schematic diagram of the end to end solution and should outline any dependences on the Department
  • Suppliers must detail how they meet the criteria for the sensors.
  • Suppliers must detail how they meet the criteria for the sample dashboard and Data Hub facilities
  • Suppliers must detail how they will deliver to the Department in the timescales.
