- A team within HMPO is required to redesign and transform our internal policy and guidance. We're procuring a new content management tool to house the guidance and will employ the Pair Writing and other techniques to design and deliver new products. We need content designers to support in-house expert staff

- Who the specialist will work with
- You'll be working with the project manager, the project team, other content designers and subject experts from policy, operations, Customer Assurance and Counter Fraud.
- What the specialist will work on
- Provide content design and writing expertise for the project to transform internal staff guidance. Working with subject experts, systematically working through all passport policy, guidance and procedures to produce new, clear material for new guidance management tool.
Work setup
- Address where the work will take place
- Central London. The job holder will be based in London, but must be prepared to travel around the country - Peterborough, Durham, Liverpool and Glasgow to take part in project related workshops. Expenses will be met in line with current Home Office guidance.
- Working arrangements
- Available 5 days a week for drafting workshops and meetings. Central London. travel will not be met, but travel to other work locations and overnight accommodation and subsistence will be met in accordance with Home Office rules/limits for civil service staff.
- Security clearance
- A minimum of SC Clearance is required. HM Passport Office will support the clearance process.

- 1. Hi, could you please confirm if you are happy for the successful candidate to work from home part of the week, and if so is there a maximum number of days they need to be in the office?

There is a flexible working arrangement, including home working. On average the successful candidate will be in the office for two days a week.
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be required to work, on average, 2 days per week. However the individual will need to be available to work 5 days as required. - 2. Hi, could you please confirm how much travel will be involved to the locations you mentioned (Peterborough, Durham, Liverpool and Glasgow).
- Travel outside of central London, mainly to Durham and Peterborough, is likely to be required on average 2 days per week. However this may change should the work demands require it.

- We expect this engagement to be outside IR35, however status is assessed on a case-by-case basis
