Summary of the work NLEDP will replace legacy data systems i.e. Police National Computer & Police National Database. A Service Transition Manager is required to lead on activities relating to Acceptance Into Service, Service Readiness Reviews and manage Implementation Milestones, transitioning the service and support from a development state to business as usual.

Who the specialist will work with The NLEDP existing team is a multi-disciplinary agile delivery team plus Business Change, Business Design, Data Migration, Technical Architecture and Service Architecture & Transition teams. These teams are comprised of civil servants, contractors and third party partner providers. NLEDP sits within the Policing and Public Protection Technology (PPPT) Portfolio. Similarly the in-house Live Services support team is a mix of civil servant, contractor and third party partner providers. Both PPPT and Live Services teams are part of the HO Digital Data and Technology department.
What the specialist will work on Manage Service Transition Plan.
Mobilisation and management of resources, facilitating and tracking progress across service suppliers (internal HO teams and external suppliers).
Review of local processes / work instructions, in support of creation of the Service Design Packs.
Collate or assure Service Design Pack(s) created by service delivery organisations, or create where required for internal delivery.
Assure delivery of tooling configuration requirements and implementation.
Manage communication and knowledge transfer including documentation between teams.
Define and agree Acceptance into Service Criteria. Agree deliverables and dependencies with teams;
Scope, agree, plan and mobilise the governance required for each interim operating model implementation.

Working arrangements A typical working day is 9am-5pm, however working outside of these hours may be required due to business/project need. The role requires flexibility as individuals may be required to work at any of the Customer premises and/or at supplier sites.
Security clearance Must be prepared to obtain SC level security clearance, required for access to Home Office facilities/deliverables, if not already SC cleared. Must also be prepared to undergo NPPV-3 (Non Policing Police Vetting.
