Apply an established pattern to further subdivide a monolithic system build/deployment into individually buildable, deployable and testable components, objective: improving time to deliver incremental changes to system. One of the components to be separated out is a Hadoop cluster.
Where appropriate, and as part of the above refactoring process, apply continuous improvement through the CI/CD pipeline to ensure the components are being separated out.
In the case of the Hadoop cluster, separate out the component in such a manner to assist a switch to a different Hadoop distribution.
Carry out using the Continuous Integration and Deployment pipeline already in place.
