About the work

About the work
Opportunity attribute name Opportunity attribute value
Why the work is being done The DACC requires platform expertise within an emerging DEVOPS environment in order to support on-going services as well as develop and migrate services to a new hosting platform. The goal is to produce cutting edge services for our business partners within the Home Office.
Problem to be solved The DACC is a data centric team which supports ETL functions in order to build and maintain services for Home Office partners. Both the tooling and data processing aspects are critical components for the DACC. You will be required to develop and maintain services within a DevOps environment. The Home Office has determined that it requires a supplier to provide this DevOps support, with a view to bringing this support in-house in the future. The DevOps service is to ensure that the services are available to users during their standard working hours.
Who the users are and what they need to do Internally you will directly engage Developers, Technical Architects, Infrastructure Engineers, DBA’s, Delivery and Product Managers.

Users are from various Home Office departments however mainly Immigration Enforcement who require data to support immigration case decisions. The data supplied is required to be available 24 x 7 to users around the country.
Early market engagement
Any work that’s already been done The service has been running for over two years and is in the process of migration from on-premises private data centre to the public cloud. There is ongoing development work across all the DACC services
Existing team Various workstreams work with the Home Office Business delivering solutions in data Search, Enrichment and Assurance Scoring. Developing DevOps services will help deliver new products into live and support an expanding BAU service.
