An earlier study set out recommendations for addressing root cause and underlying detailed data issues which would give immediate benefits. These are being built into existing projects and developments. The study also recommended that the next level of detail be added to the target data architecture which includes the following activities:
1. Review and map existing data structures
2. Understand and document user needs
3. Review existing and planned data standards
4. Build a knowledge of the existing logic structure for data
5. Rationalise and design a new/revised data architecture.
Work setup
- Address where the work will take place
- Mainly Bristol (BS1) with some visits to central London (SW1P).
- Working arrangements
- The requirement is to work in Bristol/Reading 3 days/week, with the balance of time in London up to March-end. Some remote working will be possible.

- 2. What recruitment measures have already been taken with this role?
- This is a new role and requirement, not previously advertised.
- 3. Is there a contractor already in place?
- This is a new role, the post is not currently filled.
- 4. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted?
- Supplier responses will be evaluated/shortlisted w/c 4 Dec with an aim to let all suppliers know the outcome by 5th December. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for invitation to face-to-face interview w/c 11th Dec.
- 5. Any chances of change in start date as the latest date mentioned is Monday 18 December 2017
- Ideally we would like to have the successful candidate start before Christmas. We would consider a more flexible start date (e.g. w/c 8th Jan) for the right candidate.
- 6. What are the other expenses which will be paid?
- Reasonable travel will be paid when visiting EA offices, e.g. train fares. This will depend where the successful supplier is based and will be by prior agreement only.

- We are constrained with generic titles in the Digital Marketplace process. The role is for a Data Analyst.

- The consultant will work with Sparx Enterprise Architect Corporate as well as the MS Office suite of products. A good understanding of GIS and Asset Management technologies would be beneficial.
