- Who the specialist will work with
- A mixed team of civil servants and suppliers which will include Product Managers, Devops, data developers and testers. There will be close working with other data products teams and with partner teams on-boarding to the data platform.
- What the specialist will work on

The specialist will work as delivery manager and coach for a team of civil servant and supplier specialists who are building a shared platform for storing the department’s data.
The specialist will coach the team to continuously improve its goals, metrics and delivery process – driving it to be an exemplar within the department for how agile delivery can be used to reach key outcomes.
The specialist will also contribute to the wider application of agile approaches, tools and techniques within the Data Products and Digital Data and Technology Directorates.

Based in Croydon with some travel to headquarters in central London.
Travel to regional sites to be agreed, expenses incurred from travel outside of the M25/Greater London will be subject to Home Office Travel and Subsistence Policy. - Working arrangements
- The supplier is expected to supply a resource to work on site in Croydon within an agile team. We expect the supplier to be flexible. Off site and remote working can be accommodated, however due to security considerations this would need to be discussed.

- All staff must be SC cleared. We will ask bidders for details of key personnel, if successful the bidder will be asked for confirmation of security clearance or we will initiate clearance process.

- Experience of coaching multiple teams in a range of corporate and public sector environments with working with Agility 15%
- Expert level delivery planning and tracking skills applied to agile teams – able to use a range of techniques and metrics to improve planning and predictability for delivery. 15%
- Evidence of embedding agile tools and techniques across multiple teams, be able to use knowledge and experience to help select the right tool for the right job. 10%
- Experience in the application of metrics in teams that measure effectiveness such as lead time, cycle time, team health etc and knowledge of how best to apply these. 10%
