- Civilian and contractors within the ISS Security Infrastructure Cyber CySAFA team.
- What the specialist will work on
- The experts will be responsible for designing and providing architectural expertise for the implementation of Microsoft RDS into an existing Hadoop architecture for a major cyber defence project. The work will include the production and maintenance of the high level and low level designs for the solution, ensuring alignment with wider project direction.
Work setup

- ARK Datacentres, Spring Park, Westwells Road, Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 9GB
- Working arrangements
- Tasking will take place from Corsham . Standard office hours, the working day is 8 hours to include 30 minutes for lunch. Day visits may be required to CGI, Reading. Travel and subsistence will be provided for off-site working at MoD Civilian Rates. All resources will be provided and access to the organisation's IT system; no personal or company laptops will be permitted on site. No other expenses will be payable. No remote working permitted.
- Security clearance
- SC clearance must be in place prior to the contract starting due to the projects the individual is required to work with. SC status must be valid for the duration of the contract. SC, BPSS or Disclosure Scotland is not acceptable and the Authority will NOT sponsor Clearance.

- Intermediaries legislation applies to this assignment (Inside IR35), take this into account when choosing your candidate and ensure they are aware at the outset. We aim to get feedback to you within ONE week of the advert closing. The Authority WILL NOT sponsor SC Clearance, it must be in place and valid for the duration. Candidates who make the shortlist will be asked to provide a Work History, a template will be issued for this. Only T&S will be paid no other expenses. No remote working. - A proven track record in designing and implementing Hortonworks, 25%
- A proven track record in designing and implementing Microsoft RDS thin-client solutions, 25%
- Experience of delivering in an Agile (Scrum) framework, 15%
- Have know-how of how to identify and raise project dependencies, whilst working in a wider team with multiple projects in-flight, 10%
