Questions asked by suppliers

Questions asked by suppliers
Supplier question Buyer answer
1. There's about 3 similarly roles, are you looking to fill 3 positions? All roles are the same and we are looking to fill 3 roles. Candidates wishing to apply should apply for all three roles so they can be considered for all of them.
2. Can I ask due to the working hours, courses and control of this position does this engagement fall inside IR35? We cannot give a definitive answer on whether the role is out of scope as we are waiting for a response from HMRC following the use of the tool. We suspect the role will be out of scope and once we receive a response, we will let suppliers/ candidates know.
3. Can any other type of clearance be considered? CTC and DV are also acceptable for the BA role.
4. Can more than one candidate per supplier be submitted? Suppliers can only submit one applicant per opportunity.
5. What is the lead time for feedback once the applicant is submitted? Approximately 2 weeks
6. Please be advised if Travel & Subsistence can be claimed by the successful applicant. That should be included in the day rate.
7. Are there three separate BA roles you're looking for here? Yes, there are 3 separate roles and any candidates wishing to apply should apply for all 3 roles
8. As this is a Business Analyst role but not an Architect, what level of expertise are you expecting that someone should have around Service Oriented Architect? To have an understanding of Service Level Architecture so that they can articulate stories for the engineering team as well as translate this into an understandable language for business. Ideally, would have worked on projects.
9. If a supplier didn't get through the shortlisting process for whatever reason then would you be able to let the supplier know the outcome either positive or not? Yes, suppliers will be notified of the outcome either way.
10. Would you be requiring a specialist CV at this stage? Suppliers who meet our essential skills will be notified when and where to send their CV to.
11. Are there three separate BA roles or have three opportunities been created to allow suppliers to submit more than one candidate for one role? Yes, there are three separate roles but suppliers can only submit one applicant per opportunity.
12. Please confirm the type of homeworking pattern there would be for this role e.g. could the BA do 2/3 days from and/or 2/3 days from the office? Applicant is expected to be in the office 5 days per week. Home working is be exception only for the odd day and then only with agreement.
13. You state SC security clearance is preferred. Can we assume other levels of clearance may be also be acceptable? And would you also consider those able to gain clearance, i.e their clearance has elapsed? CTC and DV are also acceptable for the BA role. If a candidate's clearance has re-lapsed our team will arrange for them to be security cleared.
14. Will you consider a candidate who is DV cleared for this role? Yes
15. You have advise that you wish the specialist to start ASAP. Could you please provide a little more clarity on the latest start date? Is this a new role, or is it filling a role where the current specialist is no longer available? You have said that "SC Clearance preferred". If a candidate has previous SC clearance (but lapsed) and is willing to go through the process will that be acceptable? As soon as the security process is concluded we would look for the candidate to start. This is a new role to support the existing team.
16. The role requires SC clearance. Are you willing to budge for CTC or sponsor for SC later on? Yes that is fine.
17. Is this a new project where the BA will be placed, or this is an ongoing project? If it is an ongoing project, for how long it has been running? On-going project running for just over a year.
18. There appears to be three ‘Agile Experienced Business Analyst’ opportunities advertised - this and two others. If we want to be considered across all three opportunities should we apply to each individual advert? Or will a single application suffice? If you want to be considered for all three roles, please apply for all three opportunities.
