Questions asked by suppliers

Questions asked by suppliers
Supplier question Buyer answer
1. From 6th April, responsibility for determining if an assignment is within IR35 will shift to the Public Sector organisation. Comparex need to understand the client’s decision on the status of each contract assignment (including extensions) under IR35 and whether a new contractor assignment is deemed ‘Inside’ or ‘Outside’ of IR35 at the beginning of the recruitment process for hiring a contractor. There is an HMRC status portal available to help determine the status but we do require you to post a response as to whether the role is ‘inside’ or ‘outside’ The Authority has undertaken the HMRC IR35 on-line assessment for this role, producing a result stating that the intermediaries legislation does not apply to this engagement. Results will be provided to the winning Supplier.
2. What is the lead time for feedback once the application is submitted The lead-time can take up to approximately 4 days. This allows us time to assess the applications and inform each supplier.
3. The "working arrangements" section states : "The Specialist company shall use its own initiative as to the manner in which services are to be delivered; for the avoidance of doubt, the Specialist Company shall not be supervised, directed or controlled regarding how the services are delivered." Can we provide evidence of us a supplier being able to provide the solution required in line with the skills, or are we just able to put forward one CV of one person? Please can we ask that you only submit details for the criteria that has been set in the advert
4. A very low price has been set for this role- market rate would be more like £500pd. Is there any flexibility on price for the right candidate? It has been agreed that this is an appropriate day rat for this role
