About the work

Why the work is being done
The Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD) is looking to replace its existing pair of Juniper SRX550 firewalls, in two separate locations. Any recommendations should not be limited to but must exceed the current production firewalls, be scalable, fault tolerant and future proof. A spreadsheet containing more detail on requirement is available on request. GSMD is in the process of migrating its core systems into the Microsoft Azure cloud, making its reliance on new firewalls mission critical. Existing firewalls service; staff, students, remote working, VPNs, halls of residence and events which are often streamed to national media organisations.
Problem to be solved
Current Firewall is outdated and due to go EoL in the near future. Replacement system must be robust, scalable and future-proof.
