- Why the work is being done

It is a requirement of the Nuclear Site Licence for all Magnox sites, that periodic inspections of all nuclear safety related structures and buildings are carried out. For ease of reference the results of these inspections are to be entered onto an electronic database. Further inspections are also undertaken of non-nuclear safety related structures.
The Civils inspections will be undertaken at the following Magnox Ltd Sites:
o Berkeley - South Gloucestershire
o Bradwell - Essex
o Sizewell A - Suffolk
o Dungeness A - Kent
o Hinkley Point A - Somerset
o Hunterston A - Ayrshire
o Trawsfynydd - Gwynedd
o Wylfa - Anglesey
o Oldbury (OLD)
o Chapelcross (CX)
o Harwell (HAR)
o Winfrith (WIN) - Problem to be solved

Magnox Ltd require the following:
A visual based application which captures defect data with location plans/models of the assets and photographs of defects.
The system shall be capable of importing Excel data from historic inspections.
The system should be accessible via a standard internet browser and supported via an Android / IOS Application.
Automated reporting functionality including filtering by any drop-down attribute.
A standardised summary report shall be generated in an MS Word format. Free-text within the report shall be available for specific comments and descriptions as required by the inspectors.
Pin-pointing new defects directly onto building plans/models.
Access to inspection data by Magnox and contractor staff at anytime through a cloud-based system (hosted either by the contractor or by Magnox).
The system shall be scalable to support reporting of defects based on 2,000 defects per site (20,000 in total) with up to 10x high resolution images per defect (assume 10Mb per image).
The system shall be capable of exporting all data into a universal format, including MS Excel. - Who the users are and what they need to do

I need to have an electronic platform which captures civil structures defect data and V. Pin-pointing new defects directly onto building plans/models.
So that the Magnox Ltd Asset Management Team can monitor and direct repairs required to the various nuclear and non nuclear structures within our sites to maintain compliance with our Site Licence Conditions. - Early market engagement

- Magnox Ltd have 12 sites that are geographically dispersed around the UK with 2 sites in Scotland (Hunterston & Chapelcross), 2 sites in Wales (Trawsfynydd & Wylfa), the remaining sites are in England (Sizewell A, Bradwell, Dungeness A, Harwell, Winfrith, Berkeley, Oldbury & Hinkley Point A). In addition to the sites listed, Magnox also have 3 HUB offices situated at Bristol, Harwell and Wylfa. Works can take place remotely, but meetings are most likely to be held at our Bristol HUB.
- Working arrangements
- Magnox generically operate on a 4 day week - Monday to Thursday from 07:25hrs to 17:00hrs although there are variances in working hours at certain sites.
- Security clearance
- Suppliers will be required to comply with BPSS clearance.
