- Summary of the work
- Cyber Mission Data require a Cyber Security Consultant with suitable experience within a Security Operations Centre or analyst Experience. The Cyber Data Analysts are required to run and support the onboarding of data feeds and to map out data for use cases.

- Who the specialist will work with
- The Cyber Security Consultant will be report directly to the Data Manager and will be working alongside 4 x Cyber Data Analysts, 2 x Data Engineers. This will make up the 'Data Operations Team'.
- What the specialist will work on

The Cyber Security Consultant will be required to analyse the data to a high level, with the number of feeds increasing, incident management and also data reports are currently not supported, they will be required to review of overall process for data feeds both old and new.
They also need to provide documentation to the Data Manager (Cyber data assessments) and run analysis of data feeds and systems, including
GAP analysis. Providing a final report at end of each project cycle to the Data Manager, working with other team members to implement and provide recommendations from reports.
Work setup
- Address where the work will take place
- MOD Corsham / Working from home.
- Working arrangements
- 5 days per week, with a mixture of working from MOD Corsham and remote working. The task will dictate the location of the work e.g. if the specialist is working at secret, then the work will be completed mainly on site. They can default to remote working but if the task dictates that they attend the office then the individual must do this.
- Security clearance
- Active SC clearance is required by the start date of contract and will not be sponsored MOD. Candidates must also be eligible for DV clearance as this will need to be acquired for this role. Due to the clearance level required, only UK nationals can apply for this role.

- Off-payroll working rules apply (IR35 in-scope). Any Personal Services Company (PSC) candidates will require to come through an umbrella company.
Skills and experience

- At least 3 years expertise in an Cyber/Data analyst or Security Operations Centre (SOC) role (10%).
- At least 3 years experience analysing/onboarding data, or working within a networking environment. (10%).
- Knowledge of cyber security principles (5%)
- Incident reporting and management (5%)
- BAU experience (Cyber Ops) (10%)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. (5%)
- Graduate degree in Cyber/Data Science or other numerical field is preferred OR demonstration of significant experience in this industry (10%)
- Knowledge of specific operational impacts of cyber security lapses. Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities. (5%)
- Knowledge of Agile development CI/CD pipeline. (5%)
- Nice-to-have skills and experience

- Experience with SIEM tools.
- Previous experience working within a defence or intelligence environment
