Dorset HealthCare are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to support the Estates and Facilities function with Data and reporting refinement with the final output of a series of interactive dashboards and reports to enhance their customer service.

Who the specialist will work with
The Senior Leadership team of the Estates and Facilities department as well as the CAFM manager, the head of estates and the head of property.
What the specialist will work on
The specialist shall be required to familiarise themselves with the current systems, processes and procedures utilised within the Estates Department.
This requires a comprehensive understanding of complex information gathering techniques as well as BPMN process mapping and dimensional modelling to develop a clear insight into the compliance and performance achieved by the Estates dept including individual team members.
This role is pivotal in providing analysis and design of the data structure that will be handed over to the development team. This will then be used as the primary source to create a series of dashboards and reports.

The working arrangements will be required to suit the progress of the project, therefore requires flexibility to deliver the project, whilst being mindful of other conflicting draws upon the leadership resource.

Skills and experience

Buyers will use the essential and nice-to-have skills and experience to help them evaluate suppliers’ technical competence.

Essential skills and experience
  • Ability to use CAFM systems to support a move within the directorate from management by presenteeism, to management by output.
  • Ability to providing a clear insight into compliance activities by discipline achieved within a directorate.
  • Ability to create compliance reporting including the completion of remedial activity against compliance checks to ensure that they are achieved within a specified timescale.
  • Ability of collecting and using data that will assess the performance of teams or individual staff. The aim shall be to ensure the most efficient service is delivered.
  • Ability to develop the use of existing under-utilised systems. We have a system for Leases and licences where we believe performance can be improved.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Teams
  • Proficient in the use of Teamwork Projects
  • Proficient in the use of Teamwork Desk
  • Proficient in the use of SQL Management Studio
  • Be highly skilled in the transformation of non-technical requirements to high technical documentation and the ability to translate those requirement both verbally and in writing to varying levels of user
  • Ability to create documentation to support data warehouse dimensional modelling
  • Ability to create BPMN process diagrams
  • Ability to define, document and communicate Analytical and statistical data to key stakeholder

  • Evidence similar work for other organisations
  • Demonstrate a proven background in this field
  • Confirm they have worked within the NHS previously in similar roles

No, this will fall to the developers to do however if the candidate has Dev, Power Bi skills then they might look to create a proof of concept although this is not expected.

The data inputs vary from project to project and could be direct linked server connections, csv extracts Web-service connections etc
