About the work

Why the work is being done
TfW has several business critical in-house IT systems (hardware, software and Cloud), most of which are provided by external suppliers. These systems need to be managed and maintained by in-house teams. On occasion, the in-house team has a business need to call on a neutral third party “expert” IT partner to provide advice, support and guidance on such matters, e.g. to perform security audits and provide fixes and support TfW in developing and implementing its overall corporate IT strategy, IT security plan, Information storage and backup plan.

Questions asked by suppliers

1. You mention that you have an incumbent in place, is there a reason why you are not continuing with that arrangement?
The contract is coming to an end
2. Can TfW please inform potential bidders who the incumbent supplier is and whether or not they are allowed to bid for this piece of work? Thanks
TfW will not be issuing the name of the current provider, all suppliers on the FW are allowed to bid for this contract
3. Can obtain the scope and tender documents
Please email leanne.millard@tfw.wales for a copy of the documents which provides a more detail scope and conditions for proposal submission
4. Are you able to clarify the difference in the information you require between Question 5 and Question 9 – i.e. selecting IT partners and selecting IT suppliers? Thank you.
IT partners refers to software/IT solution partners.

The scope and requirements documents are more informative and I encourage suppliers to email leanne.millard@tfw.wales to obtain a copy. This will give an insight to the partners.
