Problem to be solved
We require an external view of our achievements so far, to undertake an objective gap analysis and help us find solutions for closing those gaps, effectively helping us to develop a road map towards achieving AMAM Level 7 accreditation

As a cancer specialist hospital we need to understand where and why we are not using data as effectively as we could and where we can improve in the use of data for decision making across the trust so that we achieve full analytical maturity.

1. Are they aware that only HIMSS can come in and give a final assessment and award the achieved HIMSS level score for any of the 7 modules?
I read there was a Data Office to be formed (presentation given by CEO and available online) – was this set up?
Have they a data strategy formed for the Trust and in what state of delivery is it? Is it available for review?
Yes we are fully aware about the HIMSS assessment process. Content of CEO presentation is not applicable to this project. We are currently in the process of developing our current data strategy – not yet available for sharing but will be shared with supplier on hiring.
2. Have you engaged with any HIMSS Certified Organisation or HIMSS directly already and received the HIMSS assessment survey for AMMAM
If NO is there a reason for not having done so?
If YES are the survey(s) completed or to be completed as yet?
Have you achieved any HIMSS levels before for EMRAM or others? If not (recommend) you approach EMRAM first.
5 Is there a timeframe you are working to achieve an L6 or 7 in AMMAM
The HIMSS team visited and undertook an AMAM assessment survey for us in 2018. We have an assessment score and gap analysis for that time. We are aware of EMRAM but are currently focusing on AMAM. Initial analysis by the supplier will help to inform timescales for achieving Levels 6 and 7 but we are aiming for the next 1-2 years.
