- What the specialist will work on

Producing service designs which ensure that support for the new service is comprehensive, efficient and reuses existing capability.
Developing and documenting the proposed service design for the integration and implementation of solutions, working with and across other areas of Home Office to ensure that the requirements are included in business cases, project plans, procurements and Service Design Packages.
Leading the evaluation of a new service once it has been integrated, identifying best practices and lessons learned.
Creating detailed plans for the integration of new services into existing architecture, considering the broader context, strategies and operating model of the organisation.

- Home based during Covid 19 restrictions then 2 Marsham Street, SW1P 4DF /Croydon Campus /Other DDaT locations as required.
- Working arrangements

A typical working day is 9am-5pm, however working outside of these hours may be required due to business/project need. The role requires flexibility as individuals may be required to work at any of the Customer premises and/or at supplier sites.
The role is outside of IR35 - Security clearance
- SC. The Home Office will sponsor clearance. The start date is subject to clearance / transfer of clearance.

- Travel expenses are payable for journeys outside the M25 where approved in advance by the customer and in line with Home Office Travel policy (subsistence is not payable).

- ITIL V4 - Expert or Master Certification
- Evidence of strong process, technical and team leadership skills, with a passion for delivering leading edge designs and inspiring a culture of technical excellence and innovative solution design
- Experience of navigating the complex landscapes of technologies, 3rd party suppliers (driving the procurement process), internal and cross-government (or similarly complex) teams
- Management & delivery of complex B2B service solutions within time, cost and quality targets, ensuring solutions are robust, resilient, and appropriately implemented, tested and documented
- Experience of defining B2B standards, owning and contributing to the technical roadmap and strategy
- Experience in anticipating and advising on future technology changes that present opportunities for the product or service
- Ability to communicate clearly in a language which meets the needs of different users/stakeholders through selecting the appropriate channels&formats, and managing expectations whilst adapting to stakeholders’ reactions with flexibility

- Managing a small team and Human Resource activities, including interviewing, selection / hiring, and conducting performance assessments
