Who the specialist will work with Technical Leads, Architects and stakeholders across DDaT, user communities, suppliers and staff across the programmes, Senior stakeholders and other cross-government teams.
What the specialist will work on Work with delivery teams and partners to break technical requirements down into pieces and identify API requirements.
Lead the rapid development of user-driven prototypes to identify technical options and inform architectural approaches.
Ensure that new and updated platforms, products and transactions are thoroughly performance tested.
Work with suppliers to ensure that their system architectures are robust, scalable, open and secure.
Ensure the delivery of change is made against an auditable process by producing/assisting with: frameworks; methodologies; operating model; non-functional specification; user cases/ stories; OAT plans and strategy; entry/exit and/or no/no go criteria; defect analysis; forms and templates; guidance; business case.

The start date advises 15th June and location is London/Croydon. Due to the current pandemic, will this role be starting working remotely? Also once lockdown is over, what is the minimum number of days required on site (is remote working possible)?
1. The role will be home based / supplier site based during Covid related restrictions.

9. Can you please explain Tooling in the Job Title. What tooling does this refer to? Tools are items used by teams within the DDaT Professions to collaborate, communicate and effectively delivery DDaT services.
10. What programming languages are being utilised within on this project? Is the need for Front End of Full Stack? The are many variations and the purpose is to rationalise where appropriate therefore no advocation of specific languages.
11. Do you have details on the total tech stack? What Tech stack, what cloud system?

12. You've mentioned a number of locations for this work – can you give an idea of where the majority will take place, or what the split will be? The majority of the work, once Home Office Covid working restrictions are relaxed, will be in Croydon and Marsham Street, Westminster.
13. Does this role require the specialist to be onsite and what would be the minimum required days on site during a typical week be? If so, does that still apply during the current lock down or would it only be required once the travel restrictions are lifted? Depending on the scheduled activities at any give phase of the programme will determine any appropriate minimal days in the office.
14. Would you accept a DV cleared candidate ? Yes. We are seeking advice from our security team with regard to the overhead of managing a DV clearance for a SC level role. If this is too large we may required the specialist to undergo SC.
15. It says Technical Analyst and Technical Architect. Which role is it? And do they need to have done Software Architecture before? Technical Analyst is not a specific option on DOS specialists so we've chosen the most closely related profession. Software Architecture experience is essential.
