Who the specialist will work with
The Delivery Lead will lead multiple workstreams as part of IPO's Transformation team. The candidate will work across the organisation, including key stakeholder management at all levels of IPO.

Intellectual Property Office are transforming their business services, within the scope of Transformation programme, is to create services that are:
-as common as they can be across all of our rights;
-designed with customers and focused on their requirements, easy to use and resilient;
-are supported by effective technical and business support.
This is a great opportunity to work on a high-profile programme that will deliver transformed IP services.
The successful candidate will work within the transformation programme team to deliver new ways of working and new services to IPO.

Essential skills and experience
  • Evidence of delivering complex transformation programmes/projects to time cost and quality
  • Evidence of successfully escalating and managing risk to deliver successful outcomes
  • Experience in planning multi-year, complex technology and business change programmes/projects including resource and financial management, and dependency management
  • Experience of supporting the programme in robust vendor management and performance of third party delivery partners
  • Experience and evidence of strong project monitoring and management
  • Experience of managing multi workstream delivery teams
  • Evidence of strong client upskilling and knowledge transfer capability
  • Experience of delivering projects/programmes with high levels of business process change and technology transformation
Nice-to-have skills and experience

8. For duration you say "6 months initially with opportunity to extend". Can you provide any more information on this? Is there a known requirement for the role for an extended period? Would extension be applied to this contract or would a new competition be run?
There will be the opportunity to extend for up to 2 years. If extended a new competition would not be run.
9. Presumably SC Clearance will need to be carried out specifically for this role, as SC is not usually transferable across domains. Will the client be prepared to allow the Delivery Lead to start with restricted access, whilst awaiting the required SC clearance?

11. Please can you advise as to the technology involved?
Technology involved would be wide ranging from use of office tool set such as Azure Dev Op's and other Microsoft software suites. Other technologies that the scope of transformation covers would be a range of CRM and IDAM solutions, Middleware and digitial UX software (scala)
12. Could you please identify the current technology and the target technology
Target technology not known yet as the programme will need to undertake a discovery phase to determine full functional and non functional requirements
