About the work

Why the work is being done
The DBS organisation is looking to improve current manual testing of software changes within the Chief Information Officer's programme of work. With the introduction of a MOD Cloud based replacement HR system, the test toll we wish to use is Selenium.
Problem to be solved
Manual testing is time consuming, and vulnerable to human error going in to the live system. In addition our Human Resources system will be moving to a cloud based Software as a Service.
Who the users are and what they need to do
As a user I need to have confidence in the performance and quality of the system, so that I can update my records and submit claims without incurring faults in the system.
Early market engagement

Any work that’s already been done
Discovery phase has commenced and funding secured. Initial investigation on the Selenium tool has been undertaken, but no in-house experience available in respect of configuration and implementation of the tool.
Existing team
The supplier will be working with technical staff, software testers and Future HR System project team. However, candidates should note that there is currently no Test Engineer lead within the team.
