Questions asked by suppliers

Questions asked by suppliers
Supplier question Buyer answer
1. What is the budget for this role? Can you please specify the rates for this role HEE has decided not to set a maximum day rate or disclose our budget constraints. We seek excellent value for money and affordability.
2. Is there an incumbent in this role? No there is not. This is a new opportunity.
3. Are you wanting the Business Analyst to run the whole Discovery phase which would include the role of Delivery Manager, and User Researcher (recruiting and testing with users) all within the 30 days? If not, who do you intend the run the user research or has this already been done? Draft user stories have already been created, further research may need to be conducted (to be discussed during initial scoping).
4. Is this contract outside of iR35? The role is outside of IR35.
5. Will travel expenses be covered? Travel costs will be expected to be covered in the day rate.
6. Under Essential skills and experience, it states "Must be able to deliver project within 30 days" – is this referring to the project they will work on? Or to have experience of a project that was delivered within 30 days? It seems restrictive to require past experience of this as an essential requirement. It is referring to the project they will work on
7. Is the 30 contract days straight or are they spread over a period of time to allow response times from suppliers? It is for 30 days straight
8. For the question 'Must be able to deliver project within 30 days' is the buyer expecting a Y/N response? The supplier must be able to deliver the project within 30 days.
9. For bullet 6 'Able to identify each stage of the project and what it will include.'; are you looking for a response for just the Discovery Phase Project or the whole project to Live Service? Just the discovery phase
10. Q8 has not been answered by the buyer, what response is expected in the DOS application please? DOS requires an example including context, works and result, however the question posed only requires a yes or no, what is the buyer expecting? is the buyer expecting a context/works/result response evidencing a contract that has lasted exactly 30 days previously? We are expecting a response that can evidence an example of where you have done a discovery piece similar to this requirement previously. The example does not have to of lasted 30 days exactly.
