- Yes there is currently an incumbent in place but they are vacating the role.

-
The Intermediaries Legislation does not apply to this engagement, concluded by using the ‘check employment status for tax’ online tool
https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/check-employment-status-for-tax/cluster/. - 3. Is this role outside IR35?
-
The Intermediaries Legislation does not apply to this engagement, concluded by using the ‘check employment status for tax’ online tool
https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/check-employment-status-for-tax/cluster/. - 4. Can sponsorship be provided for DV clearance for suitably qualified resource? If so, who needs to fund the vetting costs?
-
As stated in the advert, applicants are required to have MOD DV clearance on day 1 of the appointment. No assistance will be provided to obtain this due to time constraints.
This role is to fill an urgent requirement. DV clearance requires 6-8 months to acquire, this would be outside of the timescales required for this role to start if applicants do not already possess the correct clearance. - 5. Can you please explain in more details the exactly meaning of 21 weeks with 5 unfunded? Is it 21+5 or the 5 are included in the 21?
- The length of the contract will be 21 weeks with an additional 5 weeks unfunded as an option.
- 6. I have a candidate who was DV cleared in his last role. Will that work?
- As stated in the advert, applicants are required to have MOD DV clearance on day 1 of the appointment. If the clearance that was held in the last role is still valid and is able to be transferred then this satisfies the requirement.
- 7. We note that the post will be based almost entirely at a single site, with minimal travel anticipated and that the daily rate should include T&S. Noting that there will be travel off-site, would you be able to provide more details on the likely frequency of off-site commitments and the locations (i.e. where and how many), in order that we can better determine the T&S liability?
- Travel requirements will be based on the needs of the project at any given time. We anticipate that there will be no more than 3 non-consecutive days spent off-site per month with an average round trip journey of 200 miles. Anything outside of these expectations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- 8. Would you consider a later start date of up to 4 weeks (i.e., early/mid December)?
- All applications submitted will be assessed against the criteria specified within this advert; applicants will be considered and scored on the merits of the application and how closely it meets the requirement.
